Job Description:
The bookkeeper accounting job involves maintaining the books of
accounts and the correction of errors in bookkeeping records.
He/she will prepare financial statements, a balance sheet, and
other financial documents to be submitted to the clients, by
entering data into spreadsheets and bookkeeping software. They will
compile reports, gather and organize statements and receipts,
highlight discrepancies in the company records, and research
possible reasons for errors or differences. They will be
responsible for ensuring several different clients all receive
error free financial statements and reports. He/she will calculate
payroll and payroll taxes and ensure timely reports and payment of
all payroll taxes due. A successful bookkeeper accountant has a
formal education and real world experience. We are looking for a
bookkeeper who has the ability to perform multiple tasks without
error, and has good time management skills that allow for
flexibility when completing multiple tasks in a given time frame.
They must have exceptional integrity overseeing financial records
and insure the quality of the reports presented to the client.
Requirements: He/she must have a strong understanding of debit and
credits, account natural balances, and experience with general
ledger functions. They must have a knowledge of accounting
regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted
Accounting Principles. Must have hands-on experience with
accounting software like QuickBooks or other proprietary software.
BS in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant degree is required.
Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus. Employment Type:
